We took an underwater photography trip to the Philippines in December 2016.
Sea stars are star-shaped echinoderms, having a central disk and (usually) five arms. They have tube feet operated by a hydraulic system and a mouth at the center of the lower oral surface. Most can regenerate damaged parts and can shed arms for defense.
