Philippines Photo Gallery: Anilao sea stars

We took an underwater photography trip to the Philippines in December 2016. We returned in Novmber 2024.

Sea stars are star-shaped echinoderms, having a central disk and (usually) five arms. They have tube feet operated by a hydraulic system and a mouth at the center of the lower oral surface. Most can regenerate damaged parts and can shed arms for defense.
